Insulation for Acoustic
ARC Glassfibre and Rockfibre Faced Rolls
A variety of facings are available on these rolls to act as vapour and fire barriers and also as a deterrent to fibre-migration. Facings are usually placed on the warm side of the building and fixed to studwork or rafters.
Developed for use in thermal and acoustic applications where good tear strength and flanges for fixing purposes are required.
ARC Glassfibre and Rockfibre Faced Rolls are also available for use in lightweight cladding applications to satisfy the thermal, acoustic and fire requirements in roofs and walls. Manufactured to suit the needs of various applications for framed buildings of a commercial or industrial nature, these products have a high tensile strength and are particularly suitable for vertical applications in industrial cladding systems.
A variety of widths and thicknesses are available. Not subject to minimum order quantities.
- Generally used between stud work, rafters and ceiling joist applications
- Available faced or faced and flanged
- Faced finishes are available in foil, paper, polythene or tissue (black or white)
ARC Glassfibre Rolls
A shot-free Glassfibre is lightweight, (10kg/m3) flexible, resilient and non-combustible to BS476: Part 4 1970 (1984), Class 1 Surface Spread of Flame to BS 476: Part 7: 1997 and Class ‘0’ to the building regulations. Ideal for use in framed buildings / cladding systems and roofing applications.
Thermal conductivity 0.04 w/mk.
ARC Rockfibre Rolls
A Rockfibre wool roll conforming to BS EN 13162: 2001 ‘Specification for factory-made mineral wool products’ Achieves a reaction to fire classification of A1 as defined in BS EN 13501 – 1.
Density 23 kg/m3 giving increased acoustic performance.
Thermal conductivity 0.044 w/mk
ARC Glassfibre and Rockfibre Polythene Encapsulated Rolls/Pads
ARC Glassfibre and Rockfibre Polythene Encapsulated Rolls and Pads have been developed to provide both thermal and acoustic insulation where fibre migration could be a problem. Developed to be used in suspended ceilings, usually in high tech or sensitive buildings, such as schools and hospitals.
Available in Glassfibre or Rockfibre mineral wool and hermetically sealed in black polythene and available in various thicknesses. It can also be manufactured in a smaller ceiling pad to suit particular suspended ceiling sizes.
- Provide both thermal and acoustic properties
- Avoids any spread of insulation fibres
- Can be used on suspended ceilings
